Election Information

Council Members serve four year terms:

 

- The Primary Election is held on the 2nd Tuesday of March

- The General Election is held on the 2nd Tuesday of May

- Special Elections may be held as needed

- Elections are held during odd number years with 3 or 4 seats being filled each election (4 seats in 2007, 3 seats in 2009)

- Following a regular city election, the council shall meet on the following Monday for the purpose of choosing a mayor from among its membership, appointing the regular appointed officers, and transacting such other business as they deem necessary.
